Google Ads Specialist

VR Squared is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Google Ads Specialist to join our dynamic marketing team at our Cape Town Branch.

As a Google Ads Specialist, you will be responsible for managing and optimizing our Google Ads campaigns to drive traffic, increase conversions, and achieve our marketing objectives. This is a full-time position based in Table View, Cape Town, with a hybrid work model.

  • Develop and execute effective Google Ads campaigns across various platforms, including Search, Display, and Video, to meet specific marketing goals and targets.
  • Conduct keyword research, analyze competitor strategies, and identify opportunities to optimize campaign performance and maximize ROI.
  • Create compelling ad copy that resonates with target audiences and drives clicks and conversions.
  • Monitor campaign performance, analyze data, and generate regular reports to track key metrics, identify trends, and make data-driven decisions.
  • Implement A/B testing and other optimization strategies to continuously improve campaign performance, including ad targeting, bidding strategies, and ad placements.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends, Google Ads updates, and best practices to ensure campaigns are aligned with the latest advancements and opportunities.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including marketing, design, and analytics, to align Google Ads strategies with overall marketing initiatives and business objectives.
  • Provide recommendations for website and landing page optimization to improve user experience and conversion rates from Google Ads traffic.
  • Manage budgets effectively, allocate funds strategically, and optimize spending to achieve the best possible results within budget constraints.
  • Stay informed about local market trends and consumer behavior to tailor campaigns effectively to the Cape Town market.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Advertising, Business Administration, or related field (preferred – experience is best)
  • 5 years of Proven experience managing Google Ads campaigns, including Google Ads certification.
  • In-depth understanding of Google Ads platforms (Google Ads, Google Display Network, YouTube Ads) and proficiency in campaign setup, optimization, and performance analysis.
  • Strong analytical skills and experience using Google Analytics and other analytics tools to track and interpret campaign performance metrics.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to articulate ideas, present findings, and collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
  • Creative thinking and problem-solving abilities, with a keen eye for detail and a passion for driving results through digital marketing.
  • Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and manage multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.
  • Experience with A/B testing, conversion rate optimization (CRO), and landing page optimization is a plus.
  • Knowledge of SEO principles and experience with other digital marketing channels (e.g., social media advertising) is advantageous.
  • Knowledge of the USA & UK markets and consumer preferences is preferred.
